Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez recent moves fuel debate
Speculation around Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber’s rumored feud has reawakened after Hailey’s most recent interview with WSJ Magazine.
However, fans and followers believe that the tension amid the two personalities is because of the Benny Blanco's wife past romance with Justin Bieber.
In the interview, Hailey speaks on her beauty line Rhode and the competition with Selena’s Rare Beauty. “I think there is space for everybody”, Hailey states. She then adds, “I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.” This last comment is what most fans see as a dig at Gomez, and this has most likely re sparked the online debate.
To the growing media frenzy, Hailey Waited for the onslaught of queries about her connection to Selena and the alleged feud that the media has pitted against her and her husband.
She stated, “It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that,” and remarked that the feud speculation is “exhausting” to dismiss.
Things escalated when Gomez shared, then deleted, an Instagram Story that seemed to tackle the situation from a distance. “Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever,” she stated, encouraging people to “be kind.”
Both women confirmed that there is no animosity between them when they posed for a viral photo together in 2022 to quell the feud speculation.
The intertwined paths they took within the beauty domain alongside their mutual connection with Justin Bieber keeps increasing public interest.
As it stands, the so-called ‘feud’ appears to be a product of fan speculation more than anything real, although the discourse online continues to thrive.
