How much is Brad Pitt suing Angelina Jolie over Château Miraval?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been embroiled in legal fight over French winery since 2022
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s legal battle over their luxurious French winery, Château Miraval, has taken an interesting turn.
According to PEOPLE, Pitt has sued Jolie for $35 million in damages amid their ongoing legal battle over the French winery, bought in 2008.
The 61-year-old actor’s lawyer submitted into evidence communications to and from his ex-wife's team regarding her 2021 sale of her stake in the French winery, on October 29, 2025.
One of the exhibits was a November 2023 email in which the Maleficent star’s lawyers responded to a lawsuit from the Bullet Train actor allegedly involving millions in damages.
Now, Pitt’s legal team, in the response, stated, “The burdensome nature of any production is a matter of Mr. Pitt’s own creation—he is suing Ms. Jolie for $35 million in damages.”
For the unversed, an October 2023 email from the Maria actress’ team also mentions that the F1 star was “seeking ongoing damages for alleged harm to Miraval’s ongoing operations.”
They also cited that the Wolfs actor continued refusals to produce documents relating to the reasons why he needed his four-year NDA covering his personal misconduct.
For the unversed, Brad Pitt first filed a lawsuit against Angelina Jolie in 2022, claiming that his ex-wife had sold her share of the winery, despite a prior agreement that neither would do so unless the other person approved, which the latter refuses, claiming that her ex-husband has been "waging a vindictive war against" her.
