Sadie Sink teases MCU debut keeping ‘Spider-Man’ role under wraps
Sadie Sink focuses on ‘Stranger Things’ finale while hinting at her upcoming MCU appearance
Sadie Sink, star of Stranger Things gave a playful response when asked about her upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight during the premiere of Stranger Things Season 5 Sink was asked if she could describe her character in a single word.
The Whale star replied, "I thought this was the Stranger Things premiere. I wasn't prepared." When pressed again, she simply said, "Mmm, no."
Sink’s involvement in the film was confirmed earlier this year sparking speculation about her character.
Fans have guessed she might play one of Peter Parker’s comic book love interests like Felicia Hardy or Gwen Stacy.
Others believe she could be portraying Rachel Cole, an ally of Frank Castle as known as the Punisher played by Jon Bernthal.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026 and will see Tom Holland return as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Mark Ruffalo.
Michael Mando will reprise his role as Mac Gargan, now the Scorpion and Marvin Jones III will play comic book villain Tombstone.
Before her MCU debut, the 23-year-old will lead the final season of Stranger Things which will premiere on Netflix in two parts: the first four episodes on November 26, the next three on December 25 and the series finale on December 31.
Reflecting on her last day on set, the actress said, "I had cried so much that my eyes were so puffy they had never been like that before and there are some pretty embarrassing photos of me just with these giant puffy eyes."
Fans will have a lot to look forward to as Sadie Sink transitions from Hawkins to the Marvel Universe.
