Jeremy Renner denies sending explicit content to Yi Zhou
Yi Zhou claims threats and intimate photos while Jeremy Renner calls allegations false
Jeremy Renner has firmly denied allegations from his former business partner, Yi Zhou, who claimed he sent her “intimate” photos and threatened to “call ICE” on her.
“The allegations being made are totally inaccurate and untrue,” a representative for Renner told Page Six.
On Monday, the 38-year-old Chinese film director shared her allegations on Instagram, claiming that the Hawkeye actor began messaging her in June with “personal and intimate photographs of himself.”
She added, "He convinced me of his sincerity, saying he had been single for a long time and open to a long-term relationship. I believed in him, in the power of love and in the possibility of redemption."
Zhou, who collaborated with the 54-year-old actor on the documnetary Chronicles of Disney, alleged that he later “entered into written agreements” with her production company but denied any sort of personal or professional relationship.
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me,” she recalled.
According to the reports, on Thursday, Zhou shared a screenshot of a video the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters actor allegedly sent via WhatsApp showing a male porn actor and female porn actress, with the message, “Oh, yes ? This ok ???”
She futher revealed she has “a collection of those photos and the porn gifs that he sent.”
Talking to Daily Mail Zhou stated, “I did not reach out to him; he pursued me. I didn’t even know his name, never watched a movie of his. He used me and denied me and denied our work.”
Jeremy Renner, was previously married to Sonni Pacheco, who in 2019 accused him of substance abuse and threatening behavior, claims he also denied as “nonsense.”
