Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are in for a magical treat this year, as the young Royals receive a "very special" invitation to enjoy Paddington take the stage on the West End this year.

Premiering on November 1, the musical is currently delighting audiences in London's Savoy Theatre.

The timing is fitting, as the invitation arrived just weeks after the young Royals’ parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, posed with Paddington at the Royal Variety Performance on November 19.

McFly's Tom Fletcher, the mind behind the musical’s original songs and lyrics, later describe the meeting as "surreal."

During the red carpet of the theatre show, in conversation with Hello! Magazine, the producer Sonia Friedman opened up, saying, "We can't wait for Paddington to meet the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales because I think they're going to come to the show, which will be very special."

When asked whether The Prince and Princess of Wales children will be joining, she remained hopeful, saying, "We're hoping so!"

"We're very happy. We're very proud. It's taken hundreds and hundreds of people and many years to get to this point, and we're handing it over to the audience now, so it feels great," she further said regarding the project.

Tom then went on to say, "I have invited [the Prince and Princess of Wales] to see the show, so who knows. Hopefully, at some point, they'll make it to a theatre to see it."

"I got to introduce Paddington to their Royal Highnesses, which was quite a surreal moment," he further shared, regarding the Royal Variety performance, which is scheduled to air on ITV on Sunday 21 December 2025.

"They seemed to really enjoy it – we got to perform a tiny little peek of the show at the Royal Variety, and it went down very well, so I'm hoping it gets the same reaction tonight."
