'Stranger Things' drops shocking finale runtime ahead of Volume 2
'Stranger Things final episode will premiere on December 31
The Stranger Things Season 5 finale episode runtime has been revealed, leaving fans swooning with excitement.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the highly anticipated Netflix sci-fi hit will play out on both the small and big screens, with the official runtime of the final episode set at two hours and five minutes.
Moreover, fan screenings of the finale will be held in more than 500 theaters across the U.S. and Canada starting December 31 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, the same time it premieres globally on Netflix, and will continue through January 1, 2026.
It is worth noting that since Stranger Things debuted in 2016, the series has become one of Netflix’s most popular titles, with its fourth season alone surpassing over 140.7M views globally.
Ahead of the release of the fifth and final season, all four previous seasons returned to Netflix’s Top 10, marking the first time a series has had four earlier seasons in the Top 10 simultaneously.
Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 was released on November 26, and the next three episodes are set to drop on Christmas Day. The final episode will premiere on December 31, 2025.
