Jennifer Garner relives childhood memories with her mother in emotional revisit

Jennifer Garner got emotional as she looked back on her childhood with her mother in a touching new moment.

In a video shared on Instagram on December 7, KitchenAid surprised the 53-year-old actress and her mother, Patricia “Pat” Garner, with a full replica of the kitchen from their Charleston, W.V. home on Greystone Place.

Expecting only a holiday photoshoot, Jennifer and her 87-year-old mom were overwhelmed as they stepped into the recreated space.

“Discover @Jennifer.Garner’s childhood memories,” the company's official Instagram account shared.

The familiar wooden table, green refrigerator and sliding doors instantly brought the Alias actress to tears.

She crouched down to inspect the wooden cabinets, recalling, “This is where we would hang out, all our crafts happened right here… This is the cabinet where you hid the chocolate chips.”

Jennifer also pointed out an old photo of Pat on the counter, remembering the perms her mom would get while “sitting at that table.”

Pat reflected on the moment, saying, “I think it’s a privilege to get to see where we used to be.”

While Jennifer added, “I want that to be the den and then I wanna hear dad come home from work. That’s what I feel.” 

For the unversed, Jennifer’s father, William, passed away in 2024 at the age of 85.

The patterned wallpaper further sparked strong nostalgia for Pat while the Peppermint star described “a really deep feeling of homesickness and gratitude.”

Turning to her mom, she said, “You made everything… You made every cookie we ate, you made our homemade pizza.”

Later, the two recreated their signature “chock-full cookies” in the replica kitchen.

Jennifer Garner was also joined by her mother on her Pretend Cooking Show, where the duo prepared yellowed recipe for enchiladas, a dish Patricia “Pat” Garner has “been making… for many years.”
