Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, has broken her silence on the allegations shared in Netflix's new docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

In a statement published by Deadline, Janice sharply criticised the streaming platform for spreading what she described as false and misleading claims about her family, saying the four-part series contains "lies" and "inaccuracies" about the 56-year-old music mogul’s life.

“I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix show, Sean Combs: The Reckoning," she wrote.

The disgraced musician’s mother continued, "These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean’s upbringing and family life are intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation."

Janice further addressed a specific allegation which revolved around her and Diddy.

"The allegations stated by Mr. Kirk Burrows [sic] that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and patently false,” she stated in the statement.

"That was a very sad day for all of us … For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his — Bad Boy Records — is wrong, outrageous and past offensive," Janice added.

Towards the end, Diddy’s mother requested that these falsehoods and fabricated narratives be “publicly retracted.”

Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on Netflix, December 2, after Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty on two prostitution-related charges in July.
