Princess Anne’s annual Christmas card has been unveiled and it includes a surprising omission of her royal title — a move mirroring Prince William and Kate Middleton’s from last year.

Shared by the Governor of Queensland, Australia via her official Instagram account, the Princess Royal and her husband, Timothy Laurence, simply signed their festive greeting as “from Anne and Tim”.

“The arrival of a special Christmas card from The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence has set a festive tone at Government House,” Governor Jeanette Young’s caption stated.

William and Kate had also forfeited the choice to sign their Christmas card with their official royal titles, back in 2024.

PEOPLE further reported on the subject, sharing, “Members of the British royal family reportedly avoid signing autographs due to the risk of forgery”, with the Princess of Wales once telling schoolchildren during an engagement in 2022, “My name’s Catherine. I’m not allowed to write my signature, it’s just one of those rules.”

Princess Anne joins her elder brother, King Charles, and Queen Camilla among the royals to have issued their Christmas cards so far.
