Angelina Jolie faces major blow against her legal fight against ex-husband, Brad Pitt over French Winery they bought in 2008.

The former couple bought the vineyard named Château Miravel for $28.4 million in 2008, however, after they split in 2016, Jolie sold her share without Pitt’s consent.

Hence, they have been embroiled in a legal battle over the French winery since 2022.

Now, as reported by Page Six, a judge has ruled in the F1 star's favour. In its ruling, the court ordered the Salt actress must turn over private emails and text message threads regarding the sale of her portion of the vineyard.

The 50-year-old actress’ lawyer, Paul Murphy, expressed disappointment on the ruling as they said, "The court's ruling violates that law, undermines Ms. Jolie's fundamental right to a fair trial, and represents yet another manifestation of Mr Pitt's years-long effort to harass and control her."

In the end, Jolie’s lawyer’s legal team emphasised, "We will appeal."

The ruling comes after the 62-year-old actor’s request to the court that his ex-wife submit communications with her business manager, Terry Bird, publicists Chloe Dalton and Arminka Helic, and two financial consultants, in October 2025.

Meanwhile, the Maria actress' lawyers had previously countered that she didn't have to submit the emails and text messages because they involved her discussion about legal matters with other people.

For the unversed, Brad Pitt is suing Angelina Jolie for selling her share illegally, after the couple had allegedly agreed not to sell their shares without consulting each other.
