The former Astronomer HR chief says she is deeply disappointed with the 'Shakespeare in Love actress'
Kristin Cabot, the woman from Coldplay kiss cam controversary opened up about the actress who spoiled her name during the scandal.
She said she was deeply disappointed with the Shakespeare in Love actress, who appeared in a tongue-in-cheek Astronomer ad that referenced the controversy that changed Cabot’s life.
The former Astronomer HR chief resigned from her position following the scandalous kiss moment with the company’s CEO, Andy Byron.
Speaking with The New York Times, Cabot told the outlet that the actress’s participation hurt her “to the core.”
Cabot said she was such a fan of Goop, founded by Paltrow, but after seeing the ad she had done with the actress, her feelings changed.
“I was such a fan of her company [Goop], which seemed to be about uplifting women,” Cabot said.
“And then she did this. I thought, ‘How dare she, after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff.’ What a hypocrite.”
For those unfamiliar, Paltrow’s Astronomer video specifically targeted the company’s ex HR chief and CEO.
“Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I’m Gwyneth Paltrow.
“I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer.”
Cabot told the outlet that she faced a lot of hate during the peak of the controversy.
“What I hope for isn’t forgiveness from the internet,” Cabot said, “but understanding, especially for my kids.”
