Sean “Diddy” Combs and his legal team are currently weighing their options against Netflix for the 50 Cent-produced docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

A spokesperson for the incarcerated rapper told Deadline, “Sean Combs and his team are still pondering their legal options over the Netflix docuseries and the stolen footage.”

The reflective series features “A revealing look at Sean Combs’ journey from music mogul to controversial figure,” with intimate footage and insider testimonies exposing the music mogul’s dark side prior to his arrest in September 2024. (IMDb)

Combs is currently serving his prison sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, a low security facility, with his release scheduled three years later.

According to Deadline, “the Federal Bureau of Prisons had him originally set to be let out on May 8, 2028, if there were no incidents or citations.”

However, the date was moved ahead to June 4, 2028 after his transfer to “the far cushier Garden State facility.”

He is now set to leave prison on May 25, 2028, while “no reason was given for this latest change and why just over a week was shaved off Combs’ time in the joint.”

The four-part docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on Netflix December 2.
