‘Stranger Things' spin-off is not exactly what you might think

As we know Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Stranger Things, have already confirmed its spin-off series.

According to them, the series is also in the works. Yes, you read it right, Stranger Things universe is expanding, but it's not exactly what you might think.

The duo recently told Variety that the new show will feature new characters, a new setting, and an entirely new mythology, which is completely different from the recently concluded sci-fi series.

The forthcoming series will be instead a traditional sequel or side story completely executed in a bold new direction that'll take you back to the Upside Down's roots but in whole parallel universe.

Moreover, it will still be somehow connected but not entirely with the original cast.

The spin-off is expected to explore the mysterious rock in the briefcase that Henry Creel, played by Jamie Campbell Bower,  found, which led to his transformation into villain Vecna.

This rock will be a central plot point in the spin-off and for the viewers, so many left unanswered in the original series will finally be answered.

In short, the spin-off will have its own unique mythology, separate from the original series.

Well, one thing we are sure of, new Stranger Things will not be your average spin-off.
