Sabrina Carpenter dazzles in ‘The Muppet Show’ teaser, marking her return to Disney

Sabrina Carpenter will headline the forthcoming special episode of The Muppet Show, set to release on ABC and Disney+.

The special will coincide with the original show’s milestone 50th anniversary, while serving as a reboot.

Seth Rogen, executive producer of the new programme, will also join the Tears singer in the TV special.

While Carpenter’s appearance will mark her return to Disney, since she famously started her career as a child star on the channel’s sitcom, Girl Meets World.

“Back to where it all began!” a joint Instagram post between Carpenter, Rogen, Disney+, ABC, and The Muppets announced.

The teaser featured regular Muppet characters like Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, who was also spotted sharing a fun moment with the Grammy winning singer-songwriter.

“You are an icon,” Carpenter told Miss Piggy in the newly released footage, with the iconic puppet replying, “You’re too sweet. Go on!”

Sabrina Carpenter and Seth Rogen will appear in The Muppet Show on February 4, while the success of the upcoming TV special will contribute to a potential spinoff.
