Mary Elizabeth Ellis reveals why she loves working with husband Charlie Day on-screen

Mary Elizabeth Ellis loves to work with her husband, Charlie Day.

While speaking with People, the actress revealed that she would “love” to collaborate with Day again, including on her Netflix series A Man on the Inside.

“I love working with him and would love to have him there,” Ellis said.

The Grinder actress and her husband, Day, have been married since 2006 and have co-starred on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia since 2005.

Moreover, they have also collaborated on film projects, both past and upcoming.

She also revealed why the couple works so well together, “We both just respect each other and listen to each other,” she said, adding, “We bounce ideas off each other.” 

While she calls Day her “favorite person,” Ellis highlighted that creative compatibility, not convenience, defines their partnership.

Additionally, Charlie Day has also expressed his desire previously to appear on A Man on the Inside if the series returns.
