Ben Affleck, Matt Damon expose shocking friendship truths
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck gained fame after 'Good Will Hunting'
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon provided surprising insights from their decades-long relationship. The duo made jokes on themselves and regarding their flaws as they promote their new film, The Rip.
The long-time friends and partners discussed the little habits that have sometimes challenged their union during the last 45 years, during a recent interview.
The 53-year-old gave a tribute to the earlier image of The Martian star as somewhat untidy, by commenting that he was never a good cleaner-up after himself.
The 55-year-old was quick to respond and then laughed as he pointed out those days were way behind him and that this was a much younger version of him.
Affleck dismissed the exchange by saying that he only said such things due to old memories and that his wife would be in a better position to comment on his current habits
In a bid not to be outsmart, Damon shifted the attention back to Affleck, joking at his notorious issues with punctuality. He jokingly said the fact that Affleck was on time that morning was something rarely seen and had never taken place before in their friendship.
The humorous wit was an accent on an affair which was based on mutual respect and years of cooperation.
The two actors initially gained recognition along with Good Will Hunting in 1997, when they won an Academy Award in the screenplay category of Best Original Screenplay. They have been good friends and regular creative collaborators since that time.
For the unversed, their latest venture, The Rip, is a Miami-based thriller based on police officers who discover a huge amount of cash and it is another instalment of one of the friendships that Hollywood has had over a long time.
