Early appearances 2018–2019

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani have known each other for several years. 

Their first public appearances together date back to 2018, when Radhika was seen at family events.

Between December 2018 and March 2019, she attended the weddings of Anant’s siblings, Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani, and took part in family rituals, indicating her close bond with the Ambani family well before any formal announcement.

Roka ceremony 2022

After knowing each other for a few years, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant held their roka ceremony in 2022. 

It is a small, intimate event where the families of the bride and groom meet to exchange gifts, sweets, and blessings.

The ceremony took place at the Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan, in the presence of close family members.

Following the ceremony, the families released a statement confirming that the couple had known each other for several years and were beginning their formal journey toward marriage.

Engagement

The couple held their engagement ceremony in January 2023 at the Ambani residence in Mumbai.

During the ceremony, Nita Ambani performed Radhika Merchant’s aarti to welcome her into the Ambani family.

The event followed traditional rituals, and then made it an official engagement of the couple.

Radhika Merchant’s arangetram June 2022

Earlier, in June 2022, Mukesh and Nita Ambani hosted Radhika Merchant’s Arangetram ceremony at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.

Radhika is a trained classical (Bharatanatyam) dancer, and the ceremony was considered an important milestone in her classical dance journey.

Moreover, the event was attended by several well-known personalities from the film industry.

Public appearances together 2022–2024

Since their roka, Radhika Merchant has frequently been seen with the Ambani family at religious and public events.

These visits include the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai and the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

After years of public appearances and traditional ceremonies, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot on July 12, 2024, in a grand wedding attended by global business leaders, political figures, and celebrities.
