Glambot Director clears Jennifer Lopez of ‘Rude’ claims after viral Globes moment
The director and creator of the Glambot shut down online speculation in an Instagram video
Jennifer Lopez was not being rude during her viral Glambot moment at the 2026 Golden Globes, according to the man behind the camera.
Cole Walliser, the director and creator of the Glambot, shut down online speculation in an Instagram video posted January 18, addressing claims that Lopez appeared dismissive while filming her slow-motion red carpet clip at the January 11 ceremony.
“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” Walliser said, explaining that the singer-actress was simply focused and pressed for time.
“The carpet was closed. She was ready to go inside. She knew exactly what she was going to do.”
In the behind-the-scenes footage that sparked debate, Lopez had her back turned as Walliser gave direction before smoothly completing her pose and walking off with a wave. Walliser noted that the positioning made the interaction appear colder than it was.
“It was unfortunate she was facing away from me,” he explained. “But I knew she was getting ready for the move. I never thought, ‘Turn around and look at me.’ I knew what was happening.”
The photographer added that red carpets are chaotic environments where celebrities are often rushed and focused on logistics.
“People are at work. The world is crazy,” he said, emphasizing that he has never felt mistreated by any celebrity he’s filmed.
Walliser, whose Glambot videos regularly go viral, concluded by thanking fans for their support and reaffirming that Lopez’s interaction was professional, not personal.
