Chris Noth has shared that he and Sarah Jessica Parker's friendship ended due to her reaction to the numerous sexual assault claims made against him in 2021.

The 71-year-old actor appeared on the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast, mentioning that his former “Sex and the City” colleague didn’t reach out to get his perspective before making a public statement in support of his accusers.

In 2021, Noth was accused of sexual misconduct by three individuals. He, however, rejected these accusations.

At the time, Parker, alongside “SATC” co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, expressed in a joint statement, “We are profoundly saddened by the allegations against Chris Noth.

We stand with those who have bravely shared their distressing experiences. We acknowledge the difficulty of their decision and applaud their courage.”

Noth described the statement as “disheartening” and noted that it became “pretty clear” that his friendship with Parker had ended.

"The statement they released — which really felt more like brand management — left me disheartened, surprised, and disappointed," Noth said during a podcast preview shared by People. “You ought to call and hear my side. We’ve known each other for years, having worked together for so long.”

Noth was part of all six “Sex and the City” seasons and its two sequels, later joining the sequel series, “And Just Like That,” in 2021.

In 2023, Noth denied the assault claims again but did admit infidelity to his spouse, Tara Wilson.

Noth and Wilson have been married since April 2012, sharing two sons: Orion, 18, and Keats, 5.
