Blake Lively criticises 'Gossip Girl' in leaked texts on 'It Ends With Us' drama

Nothing is safe from Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ongoing It Ends With Us drama.
Lively reportedly threw shade at Gossip Girl, the hit teen drama that helped make her famous, in a batch of newly released text messages between her and fellow “It Ends With Us” star Brandon Skelnar, according to Us Weekly.
The string of texts from May 2024 through August 2024 began with a focus on the post-production schedule of “It Ends With Us” ahead of the film’s release on August 9 of that year.
Lively starred as Serena van der Woodsen on “Gossip Girl” for all six seasons from show’s premiere in 2007 until its finale in 2012.
As Lively and Skelnar’s conversation progressed, however, they started to discuss whether Skelnar would be able to juggle promoting “It Ends With Us” while also filming the second season of the popular “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923” at the same time.
“I hope your show gives you space to hustle,” Lively, 38, wrote in one alleged message obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday. “Especially once ‘It’ comes out, week 2 will be a time that it will get especially heated for you. Just something to think about and maximise.”
“I’m working on it,” Skelnar, 35, added. “They are particularly s—ty about that. But I’m gonna do everything I can to make it happen. It would be a crime to not ride that momentum.”
After encouraging Skelnar to get his agent “on that” to make sure he could find time to help promote “It Ends With Us,” Lively went on to recall how the “Gossip Girl” production team was “s—ty” about letting her make time for other projects.
