A$AP Rocky reveals how he keeps the ‘funk’ alive with Rihanna

A$AP Rocky has opened up about how he keeps his relationship with Rihanna fun and exciting.

The 37-year-old rapper, who shares three children with the singer, RZA, three; Riot, two; and four-month-old Rocki Irish with Rihanna, explained that maintaining a connection requires effort.

“You got to spice it up. You got to still date. You got to still be friends,” Rocky told The Ebro Show. 

“We roll [music] dice. We play cards… she a cheater. We be playing crazy eights. I love that girl to death, man. We got to keep the funk going, ’cause if not, what we doing then?,” the singer said.

Rocky also reflected on becoming a girl dad, calling it a transformative experience. “Man, being a girl dad… it’s made me so vulnerable. 

I’m born again. Granted, she’s only four months, but when she looks at me, I just melt inside… Like, I’m already in love with her mother, so I’m falling in love all over again,” he said.

He added that fatherhood has increased his respect for women. “The respect I have for women is just growing… to have a daughter, it’s just mindboggling. She got all my looks. She’s the girl version of me, man,” Rocky shared.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has focused on her successful make-up and lingerie businesses, putting her music career on hold in recent years. 

She previously told Interview Magazine that motherhood has shifted her approach to fashion. 

“It’s more like I spend my time getting the kids dressed to death… What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them? Moms are lazy dressers in real life,” she admitted.
