Kim Kardashian says North West’s arrival soundtrack was ‘just so her’
The reality star shares North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West
Kim Kardashian has revealed the unforgettable song that played as her daughter North West entered the world and said it perfectly captured her personality from day one.
The SKIMS co-founder, 45, appeared on sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast Khloé in Wonder Land on January 21, where the siblings discussed parenting and their children’s distinct personalities.
During the conversation, Kim explained that North, now 11, had always known exactly who she was.
“She knew what she wanted since the moment she was born,” Kim said, recalling that North was born to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
She added that ex-husband Kanye West had been DJing in the delivery room at the time.
“Kanye was DJing, so he put on Bohemian Rhapsody for the moment she came out,” Kim said, noting that sister Kourtney Kardashian often laughed with her about how fitting the song choice was. “Isn’t it so her?”
Khloé reacted with surprise at the unexpected soundtrack, while Kim admitted the song still made her emotional whenever she heard it.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim addressed public perceptions of her relationship with North and pushed back against the idea that she acted more like a “best friend” than a parent. She explained that while she encouraged North’s self-expression, her daughter followed clear rules at home.
Kim also shared that North’s bold fashion choices and colorful hairstyles were nothing new, saying she had embraced creative self-expression since preschool. “She really is who she is and always has been that girl,” Kim said, adding that she simply nurtured that individuality.
