Sabrina Carpenter starts her career with a heart-wrenching role
The singer is set to return to acting with upcoming projects, including a reboot of 'The Muppet Show'
Before becoming a global pop sensation, Sabrina Carpenter made her on-screen debut in an emotionally intense role on Law & Order: SVU.
The episode, titled “Possessed”, aired in January 2011 during the show’s 12th season. Carpenter, then just 12 years old, played a sexual assault victim, marking a heavy but pivotal start to her career.
The story followed the Special Victims Unit as they pursued a man who had abused a young woman in her childhood.
Afterward, Carpenter appeared in a string of TV projects, including Phineas and Ferb, Sofia the First, The Goodwin Games, Orange Is the New Black, and Austin & Ally. Her first major role came at age 13 in the Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World, while she had already signed her first recording contract the year before.
Carpenter is now set to return to acting with upcoming projects, including a reboot of The Muppet Show, where she will appear as herself, and a new Alice in Wonderland-inspired musical currently in development.
From heavy drama to musical adventures, Carpenter’s career continues to evolve, showing the versatility that has made her a standout in both music and acting.
