Scarlett Johansson dragged in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's case due to Ryan Reynolds connection
Reynolds was married to Johansson from 2008 to 2011
A newly discovered audio recording has involved Scarlett Johansson in the ongoing legal case between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively related to “It Ends With Us.”
The recording from filmmaker Claire Ayoub reveals Wayfarer co-founder Steve Sarowitz praising his experience with Ryan Reynolds' former spouse, comparing it to Blake Lively.
“I admire this focus on women's empowerment. We’ve supported another first-time director,” Sarowitz, 61, expressed to filmmaker Ayoub, notes Us Weekly.
Sarowitz collaborated with Johansson on her first film as a director, “Eleanor the Great,” which was launched last September.
“Someone named Scarlett Johansson? I’m really thrilled for her!” Ayoub jokingly remarked to Sarowitz.
The billionaire jokingly added, “We’re hoping to give her the first major break. Maybe folks will recognise her after this.”
“She was incredibly composed, calm, confident, and pleasant,” he commented about Johansson.
“It's intriguing because you collaborate with a myriad of individuals. Almost all are pleasant, and yet Blake is entirely unique compared to the rest. Not to say anything negative, but she stands apart.”
“In the majority of cases, people understand our efforts and reciprocal kindness. Even if they weren’t perfectly nice, I feel some individuals simply forgot how to be pleasant,” Sarowitz continued.
The recording was reportedly submitted by Lively’s legal representatives.
A trial is scheduled for May 18, 2026 for their case.
Reynolds, 49, was wedded to Johansson from 2008 until 2011. After their separation, he married Lively in 2012.
Johansson, 41, has remarried twice. In 2014, she wed Romain Dauriac and ended the relationship in 2017.
The “Avengers” star proceeded to marry her current spouse, “Saturday Night Live” actor Colin Jost, in 2020.
