The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has revealed a lineup of A-List Special Achievement Honorees for the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards.

The prestigious Visionary Award will be given to celebrated producer, director, and Academy Award-winning writer Christopher McQuarrie, with his Mission: Impossible collaborator Tom Cruise presenting the honor. 

Aliens will be celebrated with the George Pal Memorial Award in honor of its 40th year. The film’s creator, James Cameron, along with producer Gale Anne Hurd, will accept this accolade. 

Star Trek is set to be inducted into the Saturn Hall of Fame with the presence of William Shatner, Alex Kurtzman, and Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry in attendance. 

The legacy of the late actor will be celebrated with the Lance Reddick Legacy Award presented to his Bosch co-star Titus Welliver.

These special recognitions are part of the yearly Saturn Awards event that honors brilliant achievements in science fiction, fantasy, horror, superhero, and action-adventure narratives across film and television. 

Warner Bros’ record-breaking Oscar phenomenon Sinners, James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps lead the nominations in the competitive categories.

Inaugurated in 1972, the Saturn Awards stand as the only awards show solely dedicated to honoring genre entertainment.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Universal Hilton and will be broadcast live on SaturnAwards.tv. Hosting duties will be performed by Joel McHale.
