Hailey Bieber opens up about 'surprise' pregnancy with Justin Bieber

Hailey Bieber openly discussed how finding out she was pregnant with her son, Jack, came as a surprise, especially after being told by doctors she might face challenges in getting pregnant.

“I had a septum in my uterus, and Dr. [Thaïs Aliabadi] frequently mentioned, ‘We need to monitor this before you conceive because it could pose complications,'” the Rhode founder mentioned on Tuesday’s episode of the “She MD” podcast.

Bieber explained to co-hosts Mary Alice Haney and Aliabadi, her physician, that she was informed she would require a “minor surgery” before she and her husband, Justin Bieber, began planning for a family.

“I thought, ‘Alright. I’m not planning to get pregnant at the moment, so we’ll handle it when necessary.’ Then, unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant,” the entrepreneur recounted. “It was a pleasant surprise.”

Aliabadi recalled Hailey, 29, sharing the news, exclaiming, “She said, ‘I’m pregnant!’ And I responded, ‘No way!’”

The doctor expressed concern for the beauty mogul because Hailey had a moderate septum, elevating her miscarriage risk to “25 to 40%” and her preterm birth chances from 10 to 20%.

Based on data from the Cleveland Clinic, a uterine septum “divides the uterus into two sections” instead of having “one clear, open space.”

“I vividly remember as I conveyed the risks, she looked assuredly at me and said, ‘I trust everything will turn out well.’ I in turn replied, ‘I believe so too,’” Aliabadi recalled.

The online figure announced that she and Justin, 32, were anticipating their first child together by sharing photos from their vow renewal event in May 2024.

She showcased her pregnancy bump in a white lace Saint Laurent dress while standing on a Hawaiian hill.

That August, the couple welcomed their first child into the world.

Justin and Hailey have avoided sharing their son’s face online, though they do offer occasional glimpses of him.
