A Florida woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion while the singer and her family were inside. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, faces a total of 12 felony counts, including nine counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and shooting at an inhabited dwelling. Prosecutors revealed that Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, their three young children, and the singer’s mother were all on the property during the midday attack on Sunday. Despite approximately ten people being present, authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained.

The incident unfolded at 1:21 pm when multiple rounds were fired at the estate’s gate from a white Tesla Model 3. Dispatch audio confirmed that "ten shots fired from the vehicle at the gate," with some bullets also striking an RV parked in the driveway. Following a high-speed pursuit tracked by helicopters, police arrested Ortiz at a shopping centre in Sherman Oaks just 30 minutes later. A search of her vehicle uncovered an assault rifle and seven spent casings.

Investigations into Ortiz’s background have revealed a disturbing fixation on the "Umbrella" star, including social media videos mentioning the artist's death. Legal records indicate Ortiz has a history of domestic violence and was previously placed under Florida’s Baker Act for psychiatric evaluation. Currently held on a £7.9 million bond, her arraignment has been postponed until 25 March. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias stated that while the motive remains unclear, the investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the targeted assault.
