'Last One Laughing' podcast joins Prime Video UK series on Audible
Audible is rolling out a companion podcast called 'The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast'
The podcast audience might need to brace themselves to hold back laughter – or perhaps let it all out.
With the upcoming Season 2 of Prime Video UK's original LOL: Last One Laughing set to release on Thursday (March 19), Audible is rolling out a companion podcast called The Last Laugh: The Last One Laughing Podcast.
Roisin Conaty, who plays Jimmy Carr’s sidekick on the show, is stepping into the podcasting world as a host for the first time.
She’ll break down the episodes, give backstage tidbits, and share behind-the-scenes stories from the new season along with comedians from Season 1 and celebrity fan guests.
New season guests will feature Diane Morgan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, David Mitchell, and Gbemisola Ikumelo, alongside Season 1’s Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, Lou Sanders, and Sara Pascoe, and fans like actress Natalie Cassidy, author Emily Dean, and comedian Faitha El-Ghorri.
Best friends Gledhill and Kemsley will recall their top moments from both seasons; Wilkinson and Cassidy will give reactions to the new cast and reminisce about Wilkinson’s top scenes from Season 1, while Morgan and Dean will partner up for a chat about the show.
New podcast episodes will match the show's release schedule, debuting with three on March 19, followed by two more on March 26, and concluding on April 2.
It will be available on Audible and other podcast platforms, produced by the TV show's co-producers, Banijay companies Zeppotron and Initial, specifically for Audible Originals.
There have been many adaptations of Last One Laughing, which originally started as the Japanese program Documental.
Amazon secured the worldwide rights to the format and has developed it in several countries, although there is no US version yet.
Last One Laughing features ten comedians using their comedy skills to get each other to laugh, all while they try their hardest not to crack a smile themselves.
