Naomi Scott is finding support from fans as she embarks on her music career, citing the continued enthusiasm of those who loved her 2021 Disney film Lemonade Mouth.

In a conversation with singer-songwriter Jessie Ware for Interview magazine, the British actress, 29, shared how the film’s devoted following has encouraged her while releasing her debut album, F.I.G., on March 20.

“Honestly, it was sick,” Scott said of the film’s lasting impact. “It didn’t go off and become High School Musical, but it has this cultural resonance for people who’ve watched it.”

Scott, also known for portraying Princess Jasmine in Disney’s live-action Aladdin, highlighted a fan-favorite track from Lemonade Mouth, “She’s So Gone.”

“That song is still super popular,” she said, recalling her decision to perform it at Lollapalooza in Chicago in August 2025.

The actress noted that many of the film’s young viewers have grown into music fans.

“Now people are like, ‘You’re Mo from "Lemonade Mouth.’’ They might’ve been 11 when they loved the movie, and now they’re 20, 21, and have a wide range of taste in music,” Scott explained.

“They love pop and they’re f**king with what I’m doing. So that was quite encouraging to me,” she added.

With her debut album out and a supportive fanbase behind her, Scott is optimistic about the next chapter of her artistic journey.
