The country music duo Florida Georgia Line surprised the industry on Thursday night by reuniting onstage for the first time since their 2022 split.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley appeared together at a Nashville event hosted by Broken Bow Records to honour Jason Aldean, who was being celebrated for achieving 31 chart-topping hits.

The pair performed 'You Make It Easy', a track they co-wrote that Aldean took to No. 1 in 2018. During the performance, Hubbard affectionately referred to Kelley as his “brother,” signalling a significant thaw in their previously strained relationship.

The duo officially commenced an indefinite hiatus in August 2022 following reports of creative differences. Addressing the nature of their separation in a December 2025 podcast, Hubbard clarified the situation: “This only became big and dramatic on the internet. There’s not a good guy, bad guy in this equation. There’s not a right or a wrong.”

He explained that the split occurred after Kelley sought a solo career alongside the group, a boundary Hubbard was not prepared to cross.

The onstage reunion follows a private family ski trip to Idaho earlier this month, where the musicians were joined by their wives.

Hubbard recently admitted to missing his long-term partner, stating: “I miss the guy that I was partners with for 10 years. I miss my old roommate, my best man on my wedding.”

Brian Kelley’s wife, Brittney, shared on social media that the group left the trip with "peace about the past" and a belief that "redemption is real," marking a new chapter for the formerly estranged partners.
