Olivia Rodrigo has dismissed long-standing rumours of a feud with Sabrina Carpenter, insisting there is “all love” between the two despite years of speculation linking them through Joshua Bassett.

In a new interview with British Vogue, the 23-year-old singer said she is “so happy” for Carpenter’s success, praising her recent music and achievements.

“I think she’s great. I’m so happy for all of her success, too. I love the album she’s put out,” Rodrigo said.

Rumours of tension between the singers date back to 2021, when fans speculated that Rodrigo’s breakout hit Drivers License referenced Bassett and a blonde girl, widely believed to be Carpenter.

The speculation intensified after Carpenter released Skin, which many interpreted as a response track.

However, Rodrigo firmly shut down the narrative, revealing she has “talked to her many times” over the years. While hesitant to dwell on the topic, she added that public discourse around the situation had become “weird and clickbaity.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rodrigo reflected on the pressures she faced during her teenage rise to fame.

She recalled balancing heartbreak, a demanding career, and academics while creating her debut album, describing that period as one of the most challenging in her life.

Carpenter, for her part, previously addressed the speculation around Skin, stating in a 2025 interview that she did not intentionally write the song as a response.

Instead, she emphasized resilience and personal growth, noting that difficult experiences ultimately helped her trust herself and move forward.

Despite years of fan-driven narratives, both artists now appear to have moved beyond the drama, focusing on their individual careers and continued success.
