Ryan Gosling reveals Tom Cruise visited the 'Star Wars: Starfighter' set
Ryan Gosling has shared a surprising behind-the-scenes moment from his upcoming film Star Wars: Starfighter—one that happened while he wasn’t even on set.
During a recent podcast appearance, Gosling revealed that Tom Cruise stopped by the production on the one day he had taken off.
The actor joked that after working throughout the shoot, he missed the unexpected visit entirely.
According to Gosling, director Shawn Levy later sent him photos showing Cruise on set alongside cast members, including newcomer Flynn Gray.
The visit quickly turned memorable when Cruise reportedly landed his helicopter near the filming location, interrupting production.
Gosling said Cruise didn’t just observe—he actively joined in, even picking up a camera to film parts of an action sequence.
The moment proved especially significant for Gray, who is early in his career, making the experience even more remarkable.
The film features a strong ensemble cast, including Amy Adams, Mia Goth, and Matt Smith.
While plot details remain largely under wraps, the story is set a few years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars: Starfighter is scheduled for release in May 2027. Meanwhile, Gosling is currently promoting his latest project, Project Hail Mary, now playing in theaters.
