Reese Witherspoon’s Nashville birthday party shines with cowboy boots and crystal fringe

Reese Witherspoon celebrated a milestone birthday in style, turning 50 on March 22 with a sparkling party in Nashville that combined Southern charm, star power, and a standout fashion moment.

The Sweet Home Alabama star opted for a custom GapStudio minidress by Zac Posen, adorned with ivory crystal fringe that shimmered with every movement. 

The dress, featuring a chevron pattern that hugged and flattered her figure, perfectly balanced glamour with playfulness. She completed the look with white cowboy boots and a puff-sleeve studded denim jacket, adding a signature country twist.

Posen, who launched his first GapStudio collection in April 2025, shared photos of the ensemble on Instagram, and Witherspoon gushed in the comments: “Zac, you made my country lovin' heart so happy...literally the perfect party dress!” The designer responded that he was “honored” to create the celebratory piece.

The intimate celebration took place at Bayou Keys, a Nashville bar owned by country singer Lainey Wilson. 

A-list guests including Nicole Kidman, Mariska Hargitay, and Isla Fisher joined the festivities, creating what an insider called “an iconic party for an iconic woman.”

Witherspoon’s family played a central role in the festivities. She was surrounded by her three children: Ava Phillippe, 26, and Deacon Phillippe, 22, from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe, and Tennessee James, 13, with ex-husband Jim Toth. Deacon even took over the DJ booth as guests danced the night away, sharing the energy on Instagram.

A source told People, “Reese was the belle of the ball. The room had so much love for her all night, and she seemed so happy to be surrounded by her family and friends.”

On Instagram, Witherspoon reflected on the milestone with her signature positivity: “Gotta laugh every day you can!” Her birthday celebration in Nashville perfectly showcased the actress’ playful, country-inspired style and her joyful approach to life at 50.
