Jennifer Aniston teases ‘The Morning Show’ season 5
The actress says script development for season 5 is currently in full swing
Jennifer Aniston has shared a fresh update on the highly anticipated fifth season of The Morning Show, revealing that work on the next chapter is already well underway.
In a recent interview with People, the actress said her current focus is firmly on reprising her role as Alex Levy, with production preparations intensifying in recent months.
“Right now, it’s all The Morning Show season 5,” Aniston said, noting that she has been deep in pre-production and script development. “We’ve been in prep for the last few months… we have been in major script mode.”
The Emmy-winning series, which first premiered in 2019, follows the lives of news anchors at a fictional broadcast network and has remained one of Apple TV+’s standout dramas.
Season 5 is expected to return in 2027, though an official release date has yet to be announced.
Aniston stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, with both actresses also serving as executive producers on the show.
Witherspoon recently hinted at production progress as well, sharing a behind-the-scenes moment from the cast’s first day back on set.
The ensemble cast continues to expand, with returning stars including Jon Hamm, Billy Crudup, and Mark Duplass, alongside newer additions and upcoming cast members joining the next installment.
Meanwhile, Greta Lee has confirmed her departure following season 4, reflecting on her time with the series and the close bonds formed during production.
As anticipation builds, Aniston indicated that the demanding schedule will keep her occupied through the summer, signaling that momentum is steadily building toward the show’s next release.
With scripts in progress and production moving forward, season 5 of The Morning Show is shaping up to be another major chapter for the award-winning drama.
