Kanye West has been confirmed as the headline act for Wireless Festival, marking his first performance in the UK in 12 years.

The 48-year-old rapper will headline across all three nights this year, with the festival taking place from July 10 to 12 at London's Finsbury Park.

This event will be his first UK show in over a decade and his first time headlining in London since Wireless 2014.

Now going by the name Ye, the artist will treat festival-goers to a three-night extravaganza featuring his most popular tracks.

In a statement, Wireless Festival expressed: “Ye has produced groundbreaking albums that have transformed hip hop, from The College Dropout to Graduation, and The Life of Pablo.

This body of work has defined a new sound and secured an indisputable cultural legacy."

“With the recent release of his album Bully, Ye’s return to the UK signifies an exciting new chapter in Wireless’ history.”

The Sun was the first to announce earlier this month that the father of four was in discussions for a UK festival return.

According to a source: “Despite a tumultuous few years, Ye aims to return to the stage to demonstrate his dedication to music.

“Headlining at Wireless is a significant opportunity and a chance to reestablish his presence in the UK, especially after past controversies."

“He’s expressed sincere apologies for his past actions and hopes for a fresh start.

“Final agreements are being made regarding his Wireless headliner slot, with hopes he'd perform as many nights as Drake did last year.”

It was also announced that Ye will take the stage at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles next month.

Ye is also preparing for the release of his 12th studio album, Bully, following several delays.

This career revamp follows an incident where he posted a series of antisemitic comments on X.
