Taylor Swift distanced from Blake Lively’s court drama ahead of summer wedding
Only three claims from Lively’s case remain for trial, easing pressure on Swift
Taylor Swift is reportedly feeling a sense of relief following a legal setback for Blake Lively, as the pop superstar prepares for her upcoming summer wedding to fiancé Travis Kelce.
Lively’s harassment claims against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni were largely dismissed in a recent ruling, leaving only three claims scheduled for trial.
The development means Swift, who had been indirectly involved in the legal proceedings, is no longer at risk of being dragged further into the case.
“It’s a huge relief,” an insider told Naughty But Nice, referring to Swift. “This case just got dramatically weaker. No one understands why Blake isn’t trying to settle. From the outside, it looks like she’s already lost.”
The source noted that Swift’s involvement had been exaggerated in media coverage. “Taylor has nothing to do with this. She was supporting a friend. That’s it,” they said.
With the case no longer posing an immediate threat, Swift can focus on her wedding plans.
“She wants this wrapped up before her summer wedding,” the insider revealed. “The timing couldn’t be worse if it drags on.”
However, Swift is reportedly still keeping a close eye on developments. “She’s watching everything,” the source said.
“The last thing she wants is her name or her texts dragged into this again. Relief, but not peace. Not until it’s completely over.”
The insider added that Lively’s disputes with Baldoni appeared to overshadow consideration for others involved.
“There’s a sense this didn’t need to go this far. That ego took over,” they said.
