The acclaimed country musician Zach Bryan has expressed his deep frustration after being "forced" by his management team to cancel a major homecoming concert.

The "Something in the Orange" singer, currently on his "With Heaven on Tour," took to Instagram this Friday to announce that the night’s scheduled performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma, would not proceed due to "extreme and dangerous" weather conditions.

Addressing his "fellow Oklahomans," Bryan, 29, maintained a supportive "human touch" as he explained that safety concerns regarding severe storms and potential tornadoes had left him with no choice.

"I’ve never cancelled a show in my life but I unfortunately don’t have a choice in the matter," he wrote.

To demonstrate his lack of agency in the decision, the singer shared a screenshot of a text from a staff member citing a consensus between meteorologists and local police. Bryan’s visible response in the message was a blunt: “Are you kidding.”

While fellow country star Tyler Childers offered support, noting it was "better safe than sorry," some fans criticised the timing of the 2:00 pm announcement.

Travellers who had already secured hotels expressed disappointment, though Bryan assured followers that Saturday's show remains "set to proceed as planned" and refunds will be automated.

The singer added that in five years of touring, he has never previously scrapped a headlining date, admitting he "pissed off plenty [of] people" by attempting to play anyway.

This rare disruption follows a prolific period for Bryan, whose latest album "With Heaven on Top" continues to dominate the charts.
