Bruno Mars dazzled Las Vegas with his "24K Magic"!

The talented R&B artist, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, received a key to the city just before launching his The Romantic Tour.

Mars, aged 40, was celebrated with various festivities and honors before performing on the Las Vegas Strip and being recognized by Clark County.

"I have my own street now and launched the romantic world Tour. Much appreciation, Las Vegas," he shared a video on Instagram.

April 10 was named "Bruno Mars Day" to celebrate his "strong ties and lasting relationship with the city," according to a statement, featuring events like a parade down Las Vegas Boulevard, a ceremony, and a surprise concert at Toshiba Plaza.

Mars was celebrated for his longstanding bond with Las Vegas, a city where he has performed for over ten years.

During the ceremony, Mars was presented with a key to the Las Vegas Strip for his contributions to the city’s cultural scene.

Senior officials such as Nevada Gov. Lombardo and Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson highlighted the importance of this acknowledgment and Mars' significant link to Las Vegas.

Mars also received an exceptional honor as Park Avenue was renamed "Bruno Mars Drive." Previously, other icons such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. had streets named in their honor.

"Bruno Mars isn't simply a worldwide star—he's one of the most exhilarating performers of our era, and throughout the last decade, he's become a key part of Las Vegas," said Bill Hornbuckle, president and chief executive officer of MGM Resorts International, in a statement, according to a press release.

"From his early gigs at Bellagio and MGM Grand to his record-breaking residency at Dolby Live, Bruno has attracted countless visitors and has crafted those unforgettable, ‘only in Vegas' experiences that are the city's essence."

He concluded, "It’s only right that we kick off his global tour here today as we celebrate his remarkable influence on Las Vegas and the energy he brings to our community."

Mars also announced a $1 million contribution to the upcoming Intermountain Health Nevada Children's Hospital at the event, aimed at supporting "vital care, advanced children’s programs, and broadening access for families and children across the state," according to a release.

During the launch of his tour on April 10, the "Just the Way You Are" singer performed a 25-song setlist filled with hits, featuring five songs alongside his Silk Sonic partner Anderson Paak, who surprised the audience by joining him on stage.

Mars released his latest album, The Romantic, in February. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, becoming his second No. 1 album.

He is scheduled to continue touring until December 8, wrapping up with four performances in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros.
