Former One Direction bandmates Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are at the centre of new controversy after a report alleged that an on-set altercation led to the cancellation of a planned Netflix travel series.

According to the report, Malik allegedly struck Tomlinson in the face during filming of a three-part travel documentary for Netflix, following what sources described as a heated argument.

The incident is said to have escalated after Malik made a derogatory comment about Tomlinson’s late mother, Johannah Deakin, who died in 2016.

The alleged confrontation reportedly took place during filming in Wyoming last October.

Sources claim Tomlinson suffered a cut to the head and was briefly treated for a concussion after the incident.

Insiders further alleged that the confrontation was captured on camera, raising concerns within the production team about the potential release of the footage.

One source claimed the material could be “too damaging” if made public, suggesting it may have contributed to the show being shelved.

The series was reportedly intended to offer a candid look at the former bandmates reflecting on their shared history and lives after One Direction.

Following the alleged incident, reports suggest the two singers have not been in contact for months.

Recent social media activity has also fueled speculation of tension, with Tomlinson reportedly unfollowing Malik on Instagram. Malik, however, still follows Tomlinson.

Family members have also been drawn into the speculation, with reports indicating that two of Tomlinson’s sisters, Phoebe and Lottie, have unfollowed Malik on the platform.

The report comes amid ongoing fan speculation about the relationship between the former bandmates, who rose to global fame as part of One Direction before the group went on hiatus in 2016.
