Kim Kardashian is reportedly taking firm steps to shield her blossoming relationship with Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton from her former husband, Kanye West.

Sources close to the entrepreneur told RadarOnline.com that the reality star remains deeply reluctant to facilitate a meeting between the two men.

Kardashian is allegedly concerned that West’s unpredictable nature could "complicate everything" as she navigates this new chapter.

The rapper, however, is reportedly insisting on his right to be acquainted with those spending significant time around his four children.

Despite his demands, Kardashian remains fearful that her former partner may inadvertently or intentionally sabotage the fledgling romance. 

"She definitely doesn't want Kanye anywhere near this relationship yet," an insider shared, adding that the SKIMS founder is terrified "he'll mess it up."

Further insights suggest that the primary motivation behind this distance is a desire to avoid "unnecessary drama" that frequently follows the rapper.

"Bringing Kanye into it right away could complicate everything. You just don't know what he might say or do," the confidant explained.

The couple, who first went public in Paris in February 2026, were recently observed sharing a private two-hour dinner at Nobu in Malibu on 18 April.

Kardashian and West were married for seven years before their high-profile split and share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

As the television star focuses on her future with the Mercedes driver, she remains dedicated to her various business empires and upcoming media projects, while West continues to develop his independent fashion and music ventures globally.
