John Krasinski explains why he cried over wife Emily Blunt's big moment

Actor John Krasinski admitted he was overcome with emotion while watching his wife, Emily Blunt, be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

A touching video clip of an interview with Krasinski was shared by E! News, captioned with his quote: "I was tearing up the whole time."

The accompanying video shows a visibly moved Krasinski discussing the ceremony, which took place on Friday. "Oh my God, not only as a fan of theirs but as a fan of Hollywood," he explained in the interview.

"Those types of ceremonies happen very much anymore... it really felt like old Hollywood vibe of celebrating this long standing tradition." Footage from the event shows Blunt, dressed elegantly in a white lace dress, posing alongside her star with her brother-in-law, actor Stanley Tucci.

Krasinski, known for his roles in The Office and A Quiet Place, confessed that the moment was deeply moving for him personally.

"It was very moving for them, certainly moving for me," he said, before adding with a laugh, "I cry at anything. So I'm tearing up the whole time."
