Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie invited to Peter Phillips' wedding in a major royal reunion
The guest list also includes Princess Anne, Zara Tindall, Prince William, Kate, Prince Edward and Sophie
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are set to attend one of the most significant royal events of the year, with both sisters invited to the wedding of their cousin Peter Phillips.
A return to the spotlight
The York sisters have largely remained out of the public eye following the exile of their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, from royal duties.
However, Phillips' forthcoming wedding is expected to bring much of the royal family together, with the guest list also including Phillips' mother, Princess Anne, his sister Zara alongside her family, Prince William and the Princess of Wales, and Prince Edward and Sophie.
Sources confirm attendance
A source told The Sun that both sisters are expected to be present at the celebration. "The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding," the insider said.
"Beatrice is going and Eugenie is in the second trimester of her pregnancy but hopes to attend. The King always wanted both to remain part of the family. He made it clear they are welcome at family events."
King Charles's inclusive approach
The reported invitations reflect King Charles's consistent desire to keep Beatrice and Eugenie within the fabric of the royal family, regardless of the circumstances surrounding their father.
Sources indicate the King has been unequivocal in making clear that both sisters remain valued members of the family and are welcome at occasions such as this.
