ZAYN releases Deluxe ‘KONNAKOL’ album as tour kickoff nears
The singer is set to begin his global KONNAKOL Tour in London on May 23
Zayn Malik has released a surprise deluxe edition of his latest album KONNAKOL, adding three brand-new tracks as he prepares to launch his upcoming global tour.
The expanded project, released on Friday, includes the new songs Daydreamin’, Bad for You, and Raise the Dead, marking the first fresh material since the original album dropped last month.
The deluxe edition deepens what Zayn has described as the evolving creative world of the KONNAKOL era, offering fans additional insight into the sound and themes behind his fifth studio album.
Alongside the release, the singer is also offering a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl of the single Die For Me, adding to fan excitement around the current album cycle.
The surprise drop comes just one day before Zayn kicks off The KONNAKOL Tour in London on May 23, marking his first major tour in several years.
The global run will include dates across the UK before continuing to cities such as Mexico City, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and other international stops.
The tour announcement follows a period of health-related setbacks for the 33-year-old artist, who previously revealed he had been hospitalised due to an unspecified condition, forcing him to cancel several promotional events tied to the album rollout.
In a message shared on social media at the time, Zayn thanked fans for their support and said he had been recovering at home, adding that he was “doing well and will be better and stronger than before.”
He also confirmed that his health situation led him to adjust his touring schedule, reducing the number of planned shows while still aiming to meet fans worldwide.
“I’ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour,” he said, explaining that he wanted to balance recovery with his commitment to performing.
Earlier, Zayn had posted from hospital while thanking medical staff for their care and expressing regret over missing fan events, while reassuring supporters of his gratitude and recovery progress.
Despite recent challenges, the new deluxe release signals a strong return to music activity as anticipation builds for his upcoming tour.
