Lisa teams up with Anitta and Rema for official FIFA World Cup 2026 song
The release marks another major global music milestone for BLACKPINK member Lisa
Lisa has teamed up with Anitta and Rema for the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, Goals, marking one of the tournament’s biggest musical collaborations ahead of next year’s global sporting event.
The track was officially released on May 21 through SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings, as FIFA continues expanding its global entertainment strategy through multi-artist soundtracks aimed at reaching diverse international audiences.
According to reports, the trio is also scheduled to perform the anthem live during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12, 2026.
The collaboration has quickly generated strong reactions online, with fans and social media users debating whether the song captures the traditional spirit associated with World Cup anthems.
Some listeners praised the international lineup and modern production style, while others questioned whether the track reflects the unifying themes typically associated with FIFA tournament songs.
One social media user wrote that although the song itself was enjoyable, it did not feel suited to a World Cup atmosphere, arguing that tournament anthems are usually centered on “countries coming together as one for the love and passion of the sport.”
Others criticized the lyrical direction, suggesting the track focused more heavily on pop imagery and style than football culture or international unity.
Despite the divided reaction, the release further highlights Lisa’s growing presence on the global music stage beyond her work with BLACKPINK.
The project also continues FIFA’s recent trend of collaborating with globally recognized music stars to broaden the cultural reach of the tournament.
During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Jungkook partnered with Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi on the anthem Dreamers, which became a major international success.
