Florida woman Lynn My Le sentenced after stabbing teenage sister over phone dispute
The incident reportedly began after the teen confronted her sister over a cellphone dispute
A Florida woman has been sentenced to 180 days in jail and seven years of probation after pleading guilty to aggravated battery in a violent 2025 attack that left her teenage sister critically injured following an argument over a mobile phone.
Lynn My Le, 26, was sentenced on May 4 in connection with the October 2025 incident in Cutler Bay, Florida, according to court records cited by local media.
Le was initially charged with second-degree attempted murder but later pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of aggravated battery resulting in bodily harm.
Authorities said the incident began when Le’s 15-year-old sister confronted her after allegedly catching her going through her cellphone while she was asleep. According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the situation escalated after the teenager attempted to take her phone back.
Investigators said Le then armed herself with a knife and stabbed her sister multiple times as the teen tried to escape. The attack continued after the victim fell to the ground, before stopping when the teenager pleaded for her life.
Deputies reported that the victim sustained at least 10 puncture wounds and was described as critical but stable following the incident.
Law enforcement officials arrested Le on October 26, 2025, at the family home in South Florida.
Court documents also show that a domestic violence stay-away order was issued as part of the case. Prosecutors ultimately proceeded with the lesser charge, which resulted in a sentence focused largely on probation rather than extended prison time.
The case drew attention due to the severity of the injuries and the circumstances surrounding the domestic dispute. Authorities have not released further details on the current condition of the victim.
