Bad Bunny is set to make his entrance into the beloved Toy Story universe, following confirmation that the Puerto Rican superstar will feature in the forthcoming fifth instalment of the iconic Disney Pixar franchise.

The musician will voice a character named Pizza with Sunglasses in Toy Story 5, which is due to arrive in cinemas on 19 June.

A new chapter in an iconic franchise

The casting news adds further intrigue to one of the most eagerly anticipated animated films of the year.

Whilst details about the plot and wider cast remain limited, Bad Bunny's involvement is likely to generate considerable excitement among both his global fanbase and long-standing Toy Story devotees.

Instagram wipe raises eyebrows after AMA night

Bad Bunny's casting announcement coincides with renewed attention surrounding his decision to delete all posts from his Instagram account — a move that came as the 2026 American Music Awards unfolded.

At the ceremony, the artist claimed two awards: Best Male Latin Artist and Best Latin Song for his track NUEVAYoL. However, he missed out on Artist of the Year, the evening's most coveted prize, which went to BTS.

Despite his double win, Bunny proceeded to clear his Instagram profile entirely. Whether the two events are directly linked remains unclear.

A familiar pattern of social media disappearances

This is not the first time Bad Bunny has vanished from Instagram. Following his high-profile Super Bowl performance, the singer similarly withdrew from the platform — a decision widely interpreted at the time as a response to a wave of public backlash directed at his appearance at the event.

Whether a comparable motive lies behind his latest disappearance remains a matter of speculation.

Nevertheless, the sudden withdrawal has once again captured the attention of his devoted fanbase, who continue to follow his every move both on and off social media.
