Pete Davidson is giving credit where he believes it is due.

The comedian recently shared his admiration for ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian's acting abilities, revealing that he was pleasantly surprised by how naturally she transitioned into the entertainment field beyond reality television.

Speaking with comedian Nikki Glaser on the latest episode of The Pete Davidson Show, Davidson recalled Kardashian's decision to pursue acting and admitted he was impressed by how quickly she found success.

“Isn't it crazy Kim's good at acting?” Davidson said. “I remember when we were dating, one day she was just like, ‘I think I'm gonna be an actress.’ And I was just like, ‘F*** yeah!’ And then she's just good at it. I'm like, ‘Get the f*** out of here.’ She's so good at acting.”

Kardashian earned praise for her performance in American Horror Story, marking a significant step in her acting career.

She later expanded her résumé with a starring role in Ryan Murphy's legal drama All's Fair, further establishing herself in scripted television.

Glaser suggested that Kardashian's success stems in part from her determination to prove critics wrong.

According to the comedian, Kardashian often thrives when faced with skepticism.

“Anything she wants to do, she will do it, especially if people are like, ‘You can't do this,’” Glaser said.

“For her to go into acting with all the public perception of her anyway, she knew everyone's going to look for her to fail.”

Over the years, Kardashian has frequently addressed criticism surrounding her fame and career.

The businesswoman and reality television star has argued that her achievements are the result of strategic thinking, marketing expertise and a deep understanding of consumer behavior.

In a previous interview, Kardashian responded to those who questioned her talents, noting that success does not always fit traditional definitions of entertainment.

“People used to be like, ‘Well, what do you do? What's your talent?’” she said. “Didn't know I needed one.”

Kardashian went on to describe her strengths as being rooted in branding, business and understanding what consumers want.

“My talent is marketing and the business behind selling products and knowing what the customer wants,” she explained. “Maybe it is talent, I don't know.”

While Davidson and Kardashian ended their relationship in 2022, his latest comments suggest there remains mutual respect between the former couple.
