A$AP Rocky playfully declared himself Rihanna's "No. 1 groupie" on Wednesday, after stopping at a New York City newsstand and asking the singer to autograph her W magazine cover — made out to her "future baby daddy." A fan captured the moment on video and shared it on X, where it quickly spread.

Rocky, 37, whose full name is Rakim Mayers, held up Rihanna's recent W magazine cover and called out to the "Diamonds" singer as though she were a stranger.

"I've been your fan for a long time," he told her. Rihanna, 38, turned the tables — pointing out that he was "a fan" while she was "a groupie."

Rocky leaned into the joke. "I'm your No. 1 groupie," he replied. "Excuse me miss, can you please sign this for me? Put it out to your future baby daddy."

The quip made Rihanna laugh, though she ultimately dedicated the signature to her "No. 1 groupie" rather than any future baby daddy.

Knicks game and 'good luck charm' claim

The couple's newsstand stop came ahead of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, which they attended together that same evening. The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 107–106 in a tight finish.

In an interview posted by the NBA on X, Rocky took credit for the result.

"We was down by like 20. It's cause of me. I'm the good luck charm. I was up there cheering from the box, going crazy. Thank me later," he said.

W magazine cover and life as parents of three

The W magazine cover that Rocky was so eager to get signed featured an in-depth interview in which he opened up about how Rihanna has evolved since becoming a mother. The couple welcomed their third child, daughter Rocki, in September 2025. They are also parents to two sons — RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, who arrived in August 2023.

"She has changed a lot because she became a mother in that time span, and that certainly changes you," Rocky said. "But this woman has always been magic. Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched — one of a kind. I just adore her."

Shared interests and film marathons

Rocky also revealed that the two share a deep love of documentaries and films, describing their viewing sessions as a regular fixture of their relationship.

"We have so many of the same interests. We were addicted to watching documentaries, like the Bob Marley one," the "Sundress" rapper said. "Watching films together is so fun. We must've watched El Cantante 15 times."
