Prince William to attend two London Climate Action Week events in dual environmental roles
Major corporations will unveil pledges to combat illegal wildlife trafficking at the events
Prince William, Prince of Wales, is to take part in two major events during London Climate Action Week, scheduled from 20 to 28 June, in what organisers describe as Europe's largest city-wide climate festival, GB News reported.
William will attend in a dual capacity — as President and Founder of The Earthshot Prize, and as Founder of The Royal Foundation's United for Wildlife. The week is designed to bring together global climate champions, environmental innovators and business leaders to advance collective action on nature and climate.
A decade since the Buckingham Palace Declaration
The gathering carries added significance as it marks ten years since the Buckingham Palace Declaration, which King Charles III facilitated in 2016. Organisers say the events will spotlight successes, celebrate tangible impact and serve as a platform for announcing new commitments across the nature and climate sectors.
Major corporations are expected to use the occasion to unveil fresh pledges specifically targeting illegal wildlife trafficking and wider environmental crime.
