The singer praised Post Malone’s support after being hospitalized while battling an infection
Jelly Roll is opening up about a health scare that happened shortly before news broke of his split from wife Bunnie Xo.
The country music star revealed that he was hospitalized while on tour with Post Malone after battling a painful sinus infection.
In a TikTok video shared on June 11, Jelly Roll, 41, said he visited Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, after his condition worsened.
“So, I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina,” he said, while thanking the medical staff for helping him recover before his performance.
“I was puffy-faced,” the singer explained, adding that doctors treated him with “a bunch of steroids” to help him get back on stage.
The health issue marked the first time Jelly Roll had to miss part of a performance since joining Post Malone’s tour.
During his recovery, Jelly Roll said Post Malone reached out and later sent him flowers with a supportive message.
“He sends me a big flower bouquet,” Jelly Roll shared, revealing the note that read, “Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya.”
The gesture made a lasting impression on the singer, who praised Post Malone’s personality and kindness.
“I love you Post, when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I’m not making that up,” Jelly Roll said. “He’s the most normal dude in the world.”
The update came shortly before reports revealed that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo after nearly a decade of marriage.
According to court documents, Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
The documents list May 9 as the couple’s separation date and cite irreconcilable differences.
Following the filing, fans noticed that Jelly Roll removed Bunnie Xo’s name from his Instagram bio. His profile previously included her handle alongside his “Music Man” description but now only reads “Music Man.”
The couple’s daughter, Bailee Ann, 18, later addressed the public attention surrounding the split, asking people to respect their family’s privacy.
“I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter,” she wrote in a TikTok post.
“Worry bout your house — not mine. I’m not speaking on it — yet,” she added.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo married in 2016 and have frequently spoken publicly about their relationship, making the news of their divorce a major moment for fans of the couple.
